Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Closing Manager to lead club operations, oversee Recovery, Perishables, and Overnight prep, and guide the Assistant Closing Manager and teams. You’ll ensure policy compliance, member service, and GOLD standards.

Requires ServSafe Certification, forklift licensing, 2 years’ retail/perishable ops, and a high school diploma; college degree preferred. Occasional weekend/shift flexibility and strong leadership expected.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations.
• Forklift Certification required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-of-day execution for Recovery, Perishables, and overnight prep.
• Lead the Closing Manager and Recovery team to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Maintain GOLD Standards: greet, anticipate, appreciate and Fast, Friendly, Full, Fresh, Clean.
• Ensure departments are stocked, clean, and ready for next day.
• Coach onboarding and certifications, including ServSafe and forklift training.
