Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager to lead club operations, supervise Recovery, Utility and Perishable departments, and ensure a clean, stocked environment for morning open.

In this role you’ll model strong leadership, drive GOLD standards, train team members, and uphold food safety with ServSafe certification. Evening supervision and closing duties require flexibility and ownership.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations preferred.
• Open shift availability required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• SERV Safe certification required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments during closing.
• Lead by presence during closing hours to observe execution and support team performance.
• Maintain GOLD standards to ensure a greet, anticipate, appreciate experience for Members.
• Coach onboarding and certifications to ensure food safety and staff development.
