Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Closing Manager to lead club-wide closing operations, overseeing Recovery, Utility, and Perishables departments while fostering a high standard of service. The role requires ServSafe and forklift-related training, plus the ability to coach and develop staff during evening shifts.

As MOD when needed, you will ensure policy adherence, food safety, and daily execution of GOLD standards, contributing to a safe and efficient store environment for members and teams.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations.
• Experience in managing inventory turnover and waste reduction strategies.
• Forklift Certification required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Email) required.
• Open shift availability required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must maintain all training and required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Own end-of-day execution for assigned departments and ensure readiness for next day.
• Lead and coach Assistant Closing Manager, Recovery, and Utility teams.
• Maintain GOLD Standards and high levels of member service.
• Ensure audits and safety checks are completed daily and comply with policies.
