Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Closing Manager to lead end-of-day operations, supervise the Recovery and Utility teams, and ensure GOLD standards for a premium member experience. You will collaborate with club leadership, maintain safety training, and drive performance while managing staffing and training needs.

This role requires forklift certification, a high school diploma (college degree preferred), and at least 2 years in retail or related perishable operations.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations recommended.

Responsibilities

• Own end-of-day execution for closing and overnight readiness.
• Lead the Assistant Closing Manager, Recovery and Utility teams to ensure performance.
• Maintain GOLD standards and ensure a premium member experience across departments.
• Coach and develop team members, manage onboarding, certification and safety training.
• Operate forklift safely and follow all safety protocols; support audit readiness.
