Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Part Time Front Desk Associate to drive membership enrollments, greet visitors, and provide friendly customer service in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include processing memberships, handling payments, and promoting programs while maintaining confidentiality and accurate records. Evening and weekend shifts support a vibrant community facility with extended hours.

Qualifications

Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
One to three years of experience; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

Provides a pleasant Front Desk experience by conducting membership enrollments, facility tours, and membership orientations.
Executes membership and guest sales and accurately processes membership records, payments, address changes, program interests, and facility use through the POS system.
Provides quality customer service and responds to inquiries, requests for information, complaints, and guest concerns accurately, promptly, and professionally while maintaining confidentiality.
Maintains current information on center programs, classes, and events and assists with membership drives, volunteer orientations, special events, and seasonal programs.
Maintains proficiency with membership software; follows Welcome Desk, Membership, and safety policies and procedures; and collects, reviews, and reports monthly statistical data accurately and completely.
