Job summary

The Salvation Army Omaha Kroc Center is seeking energetic, relationship‑oriented individuals for the Welcome Desk and membership sales role. You will handle guest check-ins, promote programs, and contribute to member retention with friendly, knowledgeable service.

Responsibilities include tours, upselling programs, onboarding new members, and maintaining accurate records. Excellent communication, teamwork, and confidentiality are essential, with background checks required.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal) and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
• English proficiency required; Spanish helpful.
• Intermediate Microsoft software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and ability to present to groups.
• Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Administrative skills: office equipment, data entry, 10-key, attention to detail, filing.
• General computer knowledge for payroll, timekeeping, and personal data via web-based systems.
• Ability to collaborate and work within a team.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters.
• Strong independent judgement.

Responsibilities

• Provides world-class hospitality for members and guests.
• Interact professionally with the public, business community, officials, and staff.
• Upsell programming through exceptional customer service, guiding people to programs of interest.
• Contribute to team sales efforts to meet membership goals and engagement.
• Be knowledgeable about membership, programs, and services and communicate them clearly.
• Assist in member retention through onboarding and outreach.
• Conduct informative tours when needed and explain center policies.
• Ensure communications and duties are completed professionally and confidentially.
• Report concerns to supervisors and follow up for complete service.
• Assist security/management with emergencies and incident reports.
• Handle revenues: collect fees, sell day passes, gift cards, issue guest passes; operate related software.
• Cross-train on policies regarding Scholarships as needed.
• Keep Welcome Desk and spaces clean, stocked with brochures and forms; light maintenance.
• All other duties as assigned.
