Job summary

You will verify paperwork, determine pickup/delivery needs, assist drivers, schedule freight appointments, manage inquiries by phone/email, and ensure accurate system updates to help fulfill customer requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 2 years general office experience preferred.
• 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Strong phone and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative/clerical tasks including filing, data entry, answering phones, and mail/distribution.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Provide information and assist customers to determine pickup/delivery needs; update systems accordingly.
• Enter freight shipment information and generate or correct freight bills.
• Assist customers via phone, e-mail, and/or fax with inquiries such as tracking and quotes.
• Arrange freight delivery and pickup appointments.
