Job summary

Primary Services is seeking a Work Order Dispatcher in Evansville, IN, to coordinate field service activity and route technicians using SAP or mobile dispatching tools. The role requires availability Monday–Friday 2:00 PM–10:00 PM CT with rotating weekend shifts to support safe, reliable energy service.

The dispatcher will receive, route, monitor, and balance work orders, serving as a critical link between field crews, customers, call centers, and supervisors.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of dispatching experience required, preferably in utilities or field service.
• 1+ year of experience with SAP or a mobile data dispatching system.
• Experience monitoring, routing, scheduling, updating, and closing work orders.
• Strong communication with customers, call centers, technicians, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Receive and dispatch non-emergency work orders for field operations.
• Monitor, route, update, and document work orders assigned to service technicians.
• Balance workloads and review backlogs to support efficient field operations.
• Dispatch work through mobile data and dispatching systems.
• Coordinate scheduling between field personnel, customers, call centers, and supervisors.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and adjust assignments as needed.
• Perform call-ahead requests and communicate with technicians and customers.
• Maintain accurate work order status and documentation.
• Support communication with agencies during emergencies.
