Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Field Service Dispatcher in Fort Wayne, IN to help ensure the safe, reliable operation and restoration of the electric distribution system. You will respond promptly to outages and emergencies, coordinate field crews, and maintain accurate logs and records.

The role requires clear communication with internal and external stakeholders, strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and the ability to work rotating shifts and make sound decisions under pressure,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or an associate’s degree in electrical/electronic technology, or a high school diploma with 2+ years in technical customer support and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce safety programs across dispatch operations.
• Follow procedures to maintain compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Operate radios, phones, and digital platforms to coordinate field crews.
• Monitor crew locations and progress to optimize response times and resources.
• Dispatch personnel to outages and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate logs of outages, restoration activities, equipment status, and crew assignments.
• Provide professional customer support and handle multiple programs with high quality interactions.
• Collaborate with team members to improve dispatch processes and service reliability.
