Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Manufacturing Associate I for the D shift (6:00pm to 6:00am) in Illinois. You will perform sub-assembly and assembly tasks, study instructions, gather parts, and assemble components while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will read blueprints, interpret Bills of Materials, and operate small hand and power tools. The role includes training others and supporting prototype work as needed, within a team-focused, clean facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Safely use small hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills and instruction comprehension.
• English spoken and written instruction following capability.
• Willingness to cross-train for Manufacturing Associate II roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints and parts lists, assembling parts and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
• Assemble components and verify fit and fastening.
• Assist in prototypes and other basic projects outside regular production.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and comply with procedures.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Train others in basic assembly tasks as needed.
• Inspect finished work and document production and quality records.
