Job summary

G&W Electric Co is seeking a Manufacturing Associate I for a 6:00am to 6:00pm shift in Bolingbrook, IL. You will perform sub-assembly and basic assembly operations, following instructions, drawings, and parts lists.

You will prepare parts, assemble components, inspect work, document actions, and help train new hires as needed. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, 0–1 years in manufacturing, and basic computer skills; ability to read drawings and use hand tools is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 0–1 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and Bills of Material.
• Basic computer literacy and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
• Assemble components and verify proper fit and connections.
• Assist in prototype and other basic assembly projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and document production steps.
• Train others in basic assembly tasks as needed.
• Inspect finished work and ensure it meets requirements before passing to next step.
