Job summary

G&W Electric Co in Bolingbrook, IL seeks a Manufacturing Associate I for the 6:00pm–6:00am C shift. You will perform repetitive sub-assembly and basic assembly work, reading blueprints and ensuring parts meet requirements.

The role includes reporting through production and quality forms and may involve training new staff. Minimum high school diploma or GED with 0–1 year manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Willing to cross-train for Manufacturing Associate II roles, including respirator requirements.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists; gather parts and tools.
• Position parts using templates and measurements.
• Assemble components and check fit and fastening.
• Assist in prototypes or other basic assembly projects.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment; adhere to procedures.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and materials efficiently.
• Assist in training new hires or internal staff assigned to this role.
• Inspect work and ensure it meets requirements before passing to the next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
