Job summary

G&W Electric Co. in Bolingbrook, IL, is seeking an Assembler I for a 5:00am to 1:30pm shift. You will perform sub-assembly and assembly operations of basic complexity in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

The role requires reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and basic computer skills. Prior manufacturing experience is not mandatory, but helpful, and candidates must read and follow English instructions precisely.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 year experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Able to read drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and parts lists.
• Position parts using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by checking connections for fit and fastening parts.
• Assist in building prototypes or basic assembly projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Contribute to team by training others in basic assembly tasks.
• Inspect all work and ensure it meets requirements before passing to next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
