Job summary

G&W Electric Co is seeking an energetic Assembler I for the 2:00pm to 10:30pm shift in Bolingbrook, IL. You will perform sub-assembly and assembly tasks with attention to quality and efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

You will read drawings, interpret Bills of Materials, and use hand and power tools to complete parts. The role includes safe work practices and potential prototype support as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent work experience.
• 0–1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by inspecting connections for fit and securing parts.
• Assist in prototype building and other basic assembly outside normal production as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace by following procedures and rules; conserve resources.
