Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is hiring an Assembler I in Bolingbrook, IL for the 5:00am to 1:30pm shift. You will perform sub-assembly and assembly tasks of basic complexity, study instructions, and prepare parts to meet production timelines.

The role involves reading drawings and Bills of Materials, using hand and power tools, and maintaining a safe, efficient workspace. Prior experience is a plus, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development.
• 0–1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Ability to read drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills and English instruction comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists to prepare work.
• Position parts using templates or measurements.
• Assemble components and check fit and connections.
• Assist in prototypes and other basic assembly projects as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and conserve resources.
• Document production and quality actions on forms.
