Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking an Assembler I for our Romeoville facility. You will perform sub-assembly and basic assembly operations, study instructions and parts lists, and ensure correct fit and quality before handing off to the next operation.

The role requires reading drawings, using hand and power tools, and maintaining safety in a medium to heavy physical environment. High school diploma or GED is required, with 0–1 year manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• 0–1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Ability to read drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills.
• .Must read and understand verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Position parts using templates or by reading measurements.
• Assemble components and verify correct fit.
• Assist in building prototypes and other basic assembly projects as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and follow procedures.
