Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs in a dynamic, customer-facing role. The position involves travel to multiple sites, including the production plant, and working with a team to diagnose and repair Rivian vehicles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record (3–5 years).
• Able to operate non‑commercial trucks/trailers when needed.
• 40‑hour work week including weekends/varied shifts.
• Proficient with Windows or Mac computers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect Rivian vehicles in service centers or on-site.
• Explain Rivian products, EV framework, tools, and accessories to customers.
• Follow Rivian procedures with available technical resources and safety in mind.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and document all work.
• Manage parts: ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
• Collaborate with teammates and leadership to identify improvements and support campaigns.
• Maintain thorough technical notes for internal/external use.
• Communicate professionally in customer-facing situations and maintain high work quality.
