Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs in a dynamic, customer-facing role. The position may require travel to various locations, including the production plant, and is designed to recruit across seniority levels.

A strong team spirit and willingness to learn are essential. The role emphasizes diagnosing, repairing, and inspecting Rivian vehicles, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Hands-on work in an automotive shop preferred.
• Experience with EV or hybrid repair considered a plus.
• Experience in start-up environments preferred.
• Experience with parts departments, billing, and work order systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers or in the field.
• Identify Rivian product line and EV framework, tools, and accessories.
• Follow Rivian repair procedures with available technical resources.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts operations including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory.
• Provide feedback to senior technicians or leadership on improvements.
• Support service campaigns and containment initiatives.
• Document all work and technical notes for internal and external use.
• Collaborate with team and maintain high-quality work with minimal supervision.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
