Rivian in Ladson, SC is seeking an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical acumen while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be mentored by senior technicians to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service, with opportunities at service centers, mobile routes, or plant support as needed.

The role emphasizes strong communication, adaptability, and a passion for innovation. A 40-hour week with potential shift work is common, and travel may occur.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years hands-on experience in an automotive shop or technical environment.
• Graduation from an automotive repair program is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations and inspections.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools and accessories under mentorship.
• Follow repair procedures with safety and quality in mind.
• Conduct road tests after repairs to verify quality and safety.
• Assist with day-to-day parts operations, including ordering and tracking.
• Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for repairs.
• Interact professionally with customers, families, and suppliers.
• Identify process improvements and participate in campaigns.
• Engage in required training and advance technical skills with minimal supervision.
