Job summary

Rivian seeks a junior technician to grow technical skills while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Based mainly at a local service center, you will work under mentorship to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service operations.

The role may involve remote work, travel for mobile service, or supporting plant operations as needed. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and stay committed to innovation and adventure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or recognized equivalency preferred.
• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer preferred.
• 40-hour workweek with potential weekends/holidays/evenings/overnights.
• Willingness to travel regionally or to production facilities as needed.
• Proficient with laptops/computers and work order systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations and inspections at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
• Follow repair procedures with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Conduct road tests post-repair to verify quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations, orders, inventory tracking and expenses.
• Maintain detailed technical notes for repairs and documentation.
• Interact with customers professionally at service facilities or outreach events.
• Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns.
• Engage in required training and maintain high-quality work with minimal supervision.
