Job summary

HDR is seeking an EV Charging Infrastructure Design Lead/Manager to drive the delivery of charging projects across public, workplace, and fleet applications. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with clients, and produce detailed designs and reports using tools like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Based in New York, this hybrid role requires 8+ years in civil or energy engineering, a NY PE license, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Requires professional engineering license (PE) recognized by the licensing board.
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead EV charging infrastructure design projects from site assessments to final design plans.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and other disciplines, including sub-consultants and contractors.
• Prepare proposals, scopes, and hour/fee estimates for project delivery.
• Provide construction phase support and manage project budgets and schedules.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development activities.
• Travel nationally as needed.
