Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn how to diagnose and prepare estimates for repair according to company guidelines. You will communicate value to customers and support the sales process to maintain a high close ratio.

Responsibilities include mapping damage, creating and verifying estimates, and updating customers on progress. Prior customer service experience required; I-CAR units must be completed within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete 16 I-CAR units within 12 months.
• Preferred: 4-6 years related work experience.
• Photo-imaging software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customer at repair drop off and build rapport.
• Maps damage with customer and documents WOW opportunities.
• Notifies production that vehicle has arrived and places in production queue.
• Finalizes estimate using Repair Planning Template.
• Calls customer to review estimate and promise date.
• Assists insurance adjusters with damage reports and re-inspections.
