Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass, part of The Boyd Group, is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn how to diagnose and prepare estimates for repair according to insurer and company guidelines. You will communicate value, supporting a high sales close ratio.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, mapping damage, documenting photos, and updating customers on progress while coordinating with the repair team and insurance adjusters as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft products preferred.
• Good decision-making ability and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customer at repair drop off and build rapport.
• Maps damage with customer (previous, current loss, WOW opportunities).
• Notifies production that vehicle has arrived and places in production queue; verifies estimate during teardown.
• Finalizes estimate using proper Repair Planning Template.
• Calls customer to review estimate and promise date; updates customer regularly per standards.
