Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Estimator in Training to work closely with our Estimator to diagnose and prepare accurate estimates for repair in line with insurer and company guidelines. You will communicate the value Gerber provides, supporting a high close ratio and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong communication, computer literacy, and willingness to learn the Repair Planning Process, with opportunities to grow within a leading collision repair organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 16 I-CAR units within the first 12 months of employment.
• Preferred: 4-6 years related work experience; photo-imaging software experience may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at repair drop off and build rapport.
• Map damage with customer and identify WOW opportunities.
• Prepare estimates using Repair Planning Template and verify during teardown.
• Coordinate with repair team to finalize parts list and windshield notations.
• Set promise date and review estimates with customers.
• Regularly update customers per management standards.
• Assist insurance adjusters and inspectors as needed.
