Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Estimator in Training to learn estimating during collaboration with a senior estimator. You will diagnose and prepare repair estimates following company guidelines and insurance partner requirements, while communicating Gerber’s value to customers to drive a high close rate.

You will support the production team, participate in meetings, and ensure accurate documentation from teardown to final parts list. Prior experience in customer service is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
• Must currently possess or complete 16 I-CAR units within 12 months.
• Preferred: 4–6 years related work experience; photo-imaging software experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets customer at repair drop off and builds rapport.
• Maps damage with customer and identifies WOW opportunities.
• Creates initial photographs and uploads notes to CCC One.
• Verifies estimate during teardown and finalizes with a Repair Planning Template.
• Communicates with production and insurance adjusters as needed.
• Keeps customer updated on status and review of promise date.
