Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn and perform vehicle repair estimates following company guidelines. The role supports the estimator in diagnosing, documenting, and proposing repair plans to deliver accurate, profitable estimates.

You will engage with customers, coordinate with the repair team, and assist insurance adjusters while building trust and ensuring smooth repairs from intake to completion.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear information.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft products.
• Good decision-making ability and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Greet customers and build rapport at repair drop-off.
• Map damage with customers and capture initial photos.
• Upload photos and notes to CCC One with arrival time.
• Verify estimate during teardown and finalize using Repair Planning Template.
• Coordinate with repair team to ensure accurate windshield notations and parts list.
• Set promise dates and review estimates with customers.
• Provide regular updates to customers as determined by management.
• Participate in production meetings and follow up with technicians.
• Assist insurance adjusters and re-inspectors as needed.
