Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Louisville, KY is hiring an Estimator in Training to learn estimating practices and support accurate, profitable repairs. You will work closely with an experienced estimator, handle customer interactions, and contribute to evaluating vehicles with the WOW plan.

A strong emphasis on communication and teamwork is essential. Responsibilities include mapping damage, preparing parts lists, and coordinating with insurance adjusters to ensure timely, accurate estimates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete 16 I-CAR units within 12 months of employment.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at repair drop-off and build rapport.
• Map damage with customer and identify WOW opportunities.
• Prepare and finalize repair estimates using templates.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and customers about estimates.
• Update customers regularly on progress and promise dates.
• Assist production and ensure accurate defect notes and parts lists.
