Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Louisville is seeking a technician coordinator to ensure accurate damage assessment, coordinate between customers and repair teams, and manage the estimating process from drop-off to completion.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and adherence to WOW standards. On-site, you will interact with insurance professionals and contribute to timely vehicle repairs.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma/GED; prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customer at repair drop off and builds rapport.
• Maps damage with customer (previous, current loss, WOW opportunities).
• Handles repair mapping, takes initial photographs and uploads photos/notes to CCC One with arrival time.
• Notifies production that vehicle has arrived and places in production queue; verifies estimate during teardown.
• Finalizes estimate using Repair Planning Template.
• Coordinates with repair team to ensure windshield notations are accurate; compiles final parts list.
• Uses Promise Date Calculator to set promise date; calls customer to review estimate and dates.
• Keeps customer updated regularly per management standards.
• Participates in production meetings.
• Calls customers whose cars will be completed next day and schedules with them.
• Follows up with technicians after tear down and adjusts estimates as needed.
• Assists insurance adjusters and insurance claim re-inspectors with damage reports.
