Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn how to diagnose and prepare repair estimates following company guidelines. You will work with the Estimator to ensure accurate, thorough estimates and help maintain a high sales ratio.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, basic computer skills, and a willingness to develop 16 I-CAR units within 12 months. This role supports damage assessment, customer communication, and coordination with insurance partners.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft products is preferred.
• Good decision-making ability and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and prepare all estimates for repair according to guidelines.
• Assist with mapping damage, taking photographs, and uploading notes.
• Assist insurance adjusters with damage reports and re-inspections.
• Communicate value of Gerber services and maintain high sales ratio.
• Support production scheduling and update customers regularly per standards.
• Participate in regular production meetings and with the repair team.
• Follow up with customers after teardown and adjust estimates if needed.
