Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn the estimating process under supervision. You will diagnose and prepare vehicle repair estimates according to insurance guidelines and company protocols, while building rapport with customers and supporting the sales process.

The role emphasizes learning, strong communication, and attention to detail, with opportunities for growth and professional development in a leading collision repair network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must currently possess or complete 16 I-CAR units within 12 months of employment.
• Preferred: 4–6 years of related work experience; photo-imaging software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Greet customers at repair drop off and build rapport.
• Map damage with customer and identify WOW opportunities.
• Handle repair mapping, take photographs, and upload photos/notes to CCC One.
• Notify production that vehicle arrived and place in production queue; verify estimate during teardown.
• Finalize estimate using Repair Planning Template.
• Collaborate with repair team to ensure windshield notations are correct and complete; assemble final parts list.
• Set promise date and review estimate with customer; update customer regularly per standards.
• Participate in production meetings; assist with scheduling and follow-ups with customers.
• Assist insurance adjusters and re-inspectors as needed.
