Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn how to diagnose and prepare vehicle repair estimates accurately and profitably in accordance with insurance partner guidelines. The role supports the Estimator and helps achieve a high close sales ratio.

Responsibilities include mapping damage with customers, photographing, uploading data to CCC One, and coordinating with production and insurance adjusters.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate; Microsoft products preferred.
• Good decision-making ability and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Greets customer at repair drop off and builds rapport.
• Maps damage with customer (previous, current loss, WOW opportunities).
• Uploads photos and notes to CCC One with arrival time and related details.
• Notifies production that the vehicle has arrived and places it in production queue; verifies estimates during teardown.
• Finalizes estimate using proper Repair Planning Template.
• Works with repair team to ensure windshield notations are correct and complete; compiles final parts list.
• Sets promise date using Promise Date Calculator and calls customer to review estimate and promise date.
• Updates customer regularly per management standards.
• Participates in production meetings and follows up with customers and technicians as needed.
