Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Estimator in Training to learn estimating repair costs in collaboration with the lead estimator. You will diagnose damage, prepare accurate estimates, and communicate value to customers to support a high close rate.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 16 I-CAR units within 12 months, and 4–6 years of related experience with photo-imaging software preferred. Strong communication and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete 16 I-CAR units within the first 12 months of employment.
• Preferred: 4–6 years related work experience; photo-imaging software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at repair drop off and build rapport.
• Map damage with customer and identify WOW opportunities.
• Prepare estimates and finalize using Repair Planning Template.
• Notify production that vehicle has arrived and manage queue.
• Review estimates with technicians and adjust as needed.
• Assist insurance adjusters with damage reports and re-inspections.
