Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn the repair estimating process under a supervising Estimator. The role emphasizes accurate damage assessment, clear communication with customers, and adherence to company guidelines and insurance partner requirements.

You will participate in mapping damage, generating estimates, and prioritizing customer satisfaction while progressing through I-CAR training within the first year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Must currently possess or successfully complete 16 I-CAR units within the first 12 months of employment.
• Preferred: 4–6 years related work experience; photo-imaging software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets customer at repair drop off and builds rapport.
• Maps damage with customer and identifies WOW opportunities.
• Handles repair mapping and initial photographs; uploads photos and notes to CCC One.
• Verifies estimate during teardown and finalizes using Repair Planning Template.
• Keeps production informed and schedules with customers for deliveries.
• Assists insurance adjusters with damage reports and re-inspection processes.
