Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Moody, AL is hiring an Estimator in Training. Learn to diagnose damage, prepare accurate estimates, and communicate value per insurer guidelines.

You will support the Estimator and help achieve a high close rate while delivering exceptional customer service. Qualifications include a high school diploma, 16 I-CAR units within 12 months, and 3–6 years in related work; strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Must complete 16 I-CAR units within the first year.
• 4–6 years related work experience preferred.
• Photo-imaging software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at repair drop-off and build rapport.
• Map damage with the customer and identify WOW opportunities.
• Handle repair mapping and photos; upload to CCC One with notes.
• Notify production when vehicles arrive and manage the queue.
• Finalize estimates using the Repair Planning Template.
• Update customers regularly on progress and promise date.
