Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification and insurance details and updates records as needed.
• Obtains signatures on consent forms and explains each consent before signing.
• Verifies insurance coverage and eligibility for accurate billing.
• Collects co-pays or deductibles and explains financial obligations to patients.
• Documents accurately when the patient cannot sign and identifies signatory alternatives.
