Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA seeks an Epic Willow specialist to support Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory applications. You will work with pharmacy leadership, clinicians and IT to analyze workflows, implement improvements, and ensure safe, compliant medication management.

Required are Epic Willow certifications and a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience or 5+ years if no degree. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory Certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant application support or healthcare IT with a Bachelor's Degree; 5 years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience supporting Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory apps in a healthcare environment.
• Experience translating pharmacy workflows into system solutions.
• Experience with testing, upgrades, change management, incident management, and system optimization.
• Experience collaborating with pharmacists, providers, nursing staff, and operations on app enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support, optimization, maintenance and enhancement of Epic Willow apps (Willow Inpatient/Willow Ambulatory).
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, clinicians, operational stakeholders and IT to analyze workflows and implement improvements.
• Evaluate software releases and upgrades to optimize clinical and business outcomes while ensuring compliance and patient safety.
• Develop testing plans, gather requirements, and support implementation of system enhancements.
• Provide application support, incident resolution, change management and project coordination as SME for Epic Willow.
