Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA seeks an Epic Willow Applications Support specialist to manage day-to-day support, optimization, and enhancement of Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory systems, collaborating with pharmacy leadership and IT teams.

The role involves evaluating releases, gathering requirements, developing testing plans, and providing incident resolution, change management, and project coordination as a subject matter expert for Epic Willow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
• Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory Certification is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant application support, clinical informatics, healthcare IT, or Epic experience with a Bachelor's Degree; 5 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience analyzing pharmacy workflows and translating requirements into system solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support, optimization, maintenance, and enhancement of Epic Willow applications (Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory).
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, clinicians, and IT teams to analyze workflows and implement system improvements.
• Evaluate software releases, upgrades, and new functionality to optimize clinical/business outcomes while ensuring safety and compliance.
• Gather functional requirements, develop testing plans, and support implementation of enhancements.
• Provide application support, incident resolution, change management, and project coordination as SME for Epic Willow.
