Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA seeks an Epic Willow application specialist to support Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory systems. You will collaborate with pharmacists, clinicians and IT to optimize workflows and maintain patient safety, while assessing upgrades and implementing system enhancements.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and Epic Willow certification, with 3+ years of relevant healthcare IT experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, Clinical Discipline, or related field (Required).
Experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory Certification is required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day support, optimization, maintenance and enhancement of Epic Willow applications.
Collaborates with pharmacy leadership, clinicians, IT and operations to analyze workflows and support safe medication management.
Evaluate software releases, upgrades and new functionality to optimize outcomes and ensure regulatory compliance.
Perform workflow assessments, develop testing plans and support implementation of system enhancements.
Provide application support, incident resolution, change management and project coordination as SME for Epic Willow.
