Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care in Hermiston, OR seeks a Patient Access Supervisor to oversee non-clinical front office operations, including scheduling, registration, insurance eligibility, and verification, with emphasis on customer service and workflow optimization.

Reporting to the Patient Access Manager, you will lead a team, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliant, efficient revenue cycle processes while supporting timely access to care and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Epic experience; minimum 2 years in a medical office or outpatient clinic with front office functions such as scheduling, referrals, and patient registration

Responsibilities

• Supervise scheduling of new patients in the hospital system
• Supervise communications with insurance carriers regarding eligibility
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Supervise front desk, scheduling, and other non-clinical staff
• Manage patient appointment scheduling, registration and verification workflows
• Train, coach, and evaluate non-clinical staff to ensure policies and confidentiality
• Act as liaison between front office, clinical staff and providers
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment
