Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston, Oregon, seeks an Office Assistant for the clinic to support daily administrative tasks and ensure accurate patient scheduling and registration. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent service in person and by phone.

The role requires at least 1 year in a customer service or admin support role, basic computer skills, and familiarity with medical records (Epic preferred).

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in customer service or administrative support.
• Basic computer skills, phone systems, and data entry.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records preferred (Epic).

Responsabilités

• Accurately collects and enters patient demographic and insurance data into Epic.
• Schedules, cancels, and reschedules appointments per protocol.
• Prepares charts, verifies insurance, and ensures records are complete.
• Scans documents into the electronic health record and indexes records.
• Answers calls, greets patients, and documents messages for staff.
• Records no-shows and supports front desk operations as needed.
• Delivers courteous, HIPAA-compliant customer service.
• Collaborates with the team and adapts to varying shifts.
