Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Epic EHR Development Lead to drive design, configuration, and optimization of Epic solutions across clinical, operational, and revenue cycle domains.

This role provides technical and functional leadership for Epic application development, integrations, and enhancements while ensuring alignment with clinical workflows, organizational strategy, regulatory requirements, and Epic best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of Epic EHR experience, including hands-on build and configuration.
• Active Epic certification(s) in one or more Epic modules.
• Strong understanding of healthcare clinical workflows and operations.
• Experience leading complex Epic projects or large-scale implementations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Epic analysts, developers, and configuration teams across assigned Epic modules.
• Serve as the primary technical and functional escalation point for Epic-related development issues.
• Define and enforce Epic development standards, build guidelines, and governance processes.
• Partner with Informatics, Clinical Leadership, and IT leadership to align Epic development with organizational strategy.
• Contribute to Epic roadmap planning, optimization initiatives, and system upgrades.
• Guide development and support of Epic integrations (HL7, FHIR, Bridges, Interconnect, APIs).
• Collaborate with interface and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable data exchange and system performance.
• Support testing strategies including unit testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Oversee Epic upgrades, patches, and special updates.
