Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological risk projects across the Environmental Services Group. The role focuses on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local projects within CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You will work with risk teams to develop data quality objectives, sampling plans, and exposure models while collaborating with engineers, toxicologists, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Science with professional scientist registration/certification.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Supports site investigations and data interpretation for HHRA/ERA.
• Develops DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs.
• Prepares CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs for projects.
• Collaborates with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provides technical guidance and mentors junior staff.
• Collaborates with sales to support RFP responses.
• Develops white papers on emerging environmental issues.
• Represents the firm at conferences and symposia.
