Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. The role focuses on regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local levels within CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You will assist with site investigations, data evaluation for HHRAs and ERAs, and contribute to QAPPs, SAPs, and exposure models while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; professional scientist registration/certification preferred.
• 7 years of related experience in environmental consulting or regulatory work.
• Travel may be required; frequency depends on workload and project needs.
• Equivalent additional related experience can substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Support site investigations and data interpretation for human health and ecological risk assessments.
• Assist with development of DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs.
• Prepare conceptual site exposure models and baseline ecological risk assessments.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to implement project approaches.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.
