Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects. The role focuses on regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local environmental programs within CDM Smith’s Environmental Services Group.

You will assist with risk assessments (HHRAs/ERAs), develop data quality objectives, QA plans, and sampling strategies, while collaborating with a team of scientists and engineers to deliver project tasks and client-focused

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline (or Master's) with professional certification/registration.
7 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent additional related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Supports site investigations and interprets data for human health and ecological risk assessments.
Assists with DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs development.
Prepares CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, and BERAs for projects.
Collaborates with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
Provides technical guidance and mentors junior staff.
Supports proposals for RFP responses with sales staff.
Contributes to firm knowledge with white papers on environmental issues.
Represents the firm at conferences and symposia to raise visibility.
Performs other duties as required.
