Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. The role focuses on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental projects across CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You will assist with risk assessments (HHRAs/ERAs), develop DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement approved project approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Master's with professional scientist registration/certification.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supports site investigations and data interpretation for HRAs/ERAs.
• Develops DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs under general direction.
• Supports CSEMs and various HHRAs/BERAs planning.
• Collaborates with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists.
• Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff.
• Supports proposals and responses to RFPs.
• Contributes to technical knowledge with white papers and presentations.
