Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological risk projects. The role focuses on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental initiatives within CDM Smith’s Environmental Services Group.

You will work with teams to develop risk assessments, QAPPs, SAPs, and exposure models while collaborating with engineers, toxicologists, and sales staff on proposals and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related field; professional registration/certification preferred.
• 7+ years of related experience in environmental consulting or regulatory work.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by projects.

Responsibilities

• Support investigations and data interpretation for HHRA/ERA studies.
• Assist with development of DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs.
• Prepare CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs for basic to complex cases.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
• Support proposals and client meetings; contribute to white papers.
