Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. The role focuses on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental projects in CDM Smith's portfolio.

Responsibilities include assisting with risk assessments, DQOs, QAPPs, SAPs, and model development, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to proposals and white papers. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; professional scientist registration/certification preferred.
7 years of related experience with environmental consulting or regulation.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as duties require.
Equivalent related experience considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

Supports site investigations and data interpretation for human health and ecological risk assessments.
Contributes to QA/QC plans, SAPs, and data quality objectives.
Assists with CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs and BERAs of varying complexity.
Collaborates with scientists and engineers to implement approved project approaches.
Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff and mentors growth.
Supports sales in responding to RFPs and contributes to client meetings.
