Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. You will primarily assist with regulatory compliance efforts for federal, state, and local environmental projects across CDM Smith’s portfolio.

Roles include supporting data interpretation for HHRA/ERA, developing DQOs and QAPPs, and preparing CSEMs and BERAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or related discipline; professional registration/certification preferred.
• 7 years of related experience in environmental consulting or regulation.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Support site investigations and data interpretation for HHRA/ERA.
• Contribute to QA/QC plans, SAPs and DQOs under supervision.
• Prepare exposure models (CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs) of varying complexity.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.
