Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects for the Environmental Services Group. This role focuses on regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local programs within CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists to develop risk assessments, DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs, and to prepare exposure models. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related field (or Master's).
• 7 years of related experience.
• Travel may be required depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Supports site investigations and risk assessments for HHRA/ERA.
• Develops DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs for projects.
• Prepares CSEMs and BERAs of varying complexity.
• Collaborates with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provides guidance to junior staff and mentors them.
• Supports proposals and client meetings with sales staff.
• Contributes to white papers on environmental topics.
• Represents the firm at conferences to raise visibility.
