Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. The role focuses on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local projects in CDM Smith's portfolio.

You will work with teams to perform risk assessments, develop QA/QC documentation, and contribute to client meetings while mentoring junior staff and supporting proposals. Travel may be involved as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; professional scientist registration/certification preferred.
• Master's degree in Science or related discipline.
• 7 years of related experience in environmental consulting or regulation.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support site investigations and interpretation of data for HRRAs and ERAs.
• Develop DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs.
• Prepare CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, and BERAs for various projects.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists to plan approaches.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.
• Assist in preparing proposals and presenting at conferences.
